Republic Day is one of the most important national festivals of India, this special day is celebrated with great pomp across the country. It is celebrated on this day every year to commemorate the Indian Constitution, which was implemented on 26 January 1950. History of Indian Republic Day

The history of Indian Republic Day is quite interesting, it started on 26 January 1950. Since the implementation of the Constitution of India by removing the ‘Government of India Act’ in our country, the Republic Day program is celebrated every year on 26 January to honor the Constitution and the Republic of our country. However, there is another history associated with this day and it started on 26 January 1930 as it was the historic day when Congress first demanded Purna Swaraj.
